A GIRL’S DREAM WEDDING.

For any girl, whether wailing from the high class social strata, or an ordinary middle class family; of any culture, country, region or religion, there always comes a day they each await for; a day out of all odds, when each girl dresses up, and dreams to become a princess, dreams to become whole and complete! This day, for every girl, is that of her Dream Wedding.

From time immemorial, one of the biggest and probably most auspicious celebrations in every culture prevailing in all sort of human societies is that of the Marriage between a man and his bride to be. And while the marriage ceremony in itself considered being an affair utmost propitious, there surely holds more to it than the simple union of two beings, their souls, emotions, families, friends and loved ones.

A girl’s dream wedding isn’t just about how beautifully she’d be dressed up for the wedding, or the venue of the wedding and its ambience, the several tasks that are to be managed for the D-day, etc; it actually brings in several other concerns regarding the marriage itself.

For a girl, her dream marriage would obviously be with her better half, her prince charming. To be able to know of the groom’s caring and loving attitude, the sense of security she receives upon knowing into whose hands her fate lies for the rest of her life, the jitters of revolution within her own self, and the simple unearthing fact, that she’s finally found the man of her dreams, the man to fulfill her dream wedding.

And besides the primary relationship between a bride and her bride- groom, she also dwells into the various other relationships she evolves with time, with her in- laws, new friends, new family members, a new atmosphere, a new environment altogether. It’s amazing to see, how the girl willingly accepts the various surprises that await her after marriage.

So a dream wedding, for any girl, isn’t just about the wedding dress, the banquets, the joyous union of families, friends and loved ones. For a dream wedding, for every girl, is a beginning, a commencement to a whole new world, that consists of choices that she’s made, choices brought to her by fate as well.
To be able to play the all so new roles in her life, the role of a wife to her husband, of a mother to her children, a house maker, all the while, retaining somewhere within, her true identity, her true being.

And thus, a girl’s dream wedding, just doesn’t remain simply a dream wedding, but a metaphor to her desires of stepping into womanhood, her transformation from a docile girl to that of an emotionally strong and enduring woman, and to all the several challenges, moments of glory and various bolts from the blue that await her in her newly married life.

So the next time you see a beautiful girl plan or think of her beautifully imagined dream wedding, remember, that she isn’t just thinking of sculpting her wedding day, but a whole new life, that she’ll happily live ever after!
